What MC's Should Just Duke It Out & Go For Blood? 3 Brutal Matchups That Need To Go Down

A war on wax is as old as Hip Hop itself. What began as a way for emcees to prove who was truly lyrically superior has become a way for some artists to put the spotlight on themselves while sending their rival back to the block.

But it seems as this thing we call rap music becomes even more commercialized, brewing tensions that could easily be solved by exchanging a hot 16 become drawn out soap operas via World Star, YouTube and other media platforms.
Radio threats, video clips of artists cocking they mans annem's weapon and Twitter feuds are funny in small doses. But Hip Hop ultimately is about the music. And if two artists continually butt heads, perhaps its time to do it like their musical forefathers did: By duking it out (lyrically) a couple rounds in the ring.
Question of the day: What artists need to go ahead, battle and get it over with?
Let's look at 3 battles that need to happen, pronto:
Benzino/Royce Da 5'9
Royce Da 5'9 & Benzino
These two have been going at it heavy as of late. While Benzino has had a previous debacle with Royce's close friend Eminem, there has never been an official Zino vs. 5'9 lyrical brawl.

Pusha T/Consequence
Pusha T & Consequence
Enough of the light jabs, Pusha. Its obvious that Consequence wants war. Sure, it may be a last-ditch effort to garner some attention, but it ain't exactly like The Cons can't spit. This could be an interesting battle, if Pusha ever fully takes the bait.

Lil Wayne/Jay-Z
Lil-Wayne & Jay-Z
The above photo depicts better times between the pair. But now that the world knows Hov's wife is with child, it adds a bit more sting to Weezy's "I got your baby money" line. Granted, it'd be hard to lure Jay into battle, because he's got more to lose than gain. But a couple more shots to the gut by Wayne may be just what is needed to lure The Big Homie into the arena.
SOHH Watcha Think -- In addition to these artists, what rappers need to step into the ring and battle it out -- and who would win?
