Grammys Announce 2012 Dates, Ink 10-year Deal With CBS
The Grammys will remain on CBS for
the next 10 years, as the Recording Academy and the network extended
their contract through 2021 on Tuesday. CBS has broadcast the Grammy
Awards since 1973. Next year’s 54th annual Grammy Awards will take place
on Feb. 12, again at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The contract includes the one-hour “Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! –
Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night,” which will be held this year on
Nov. 30.
Neil Portnow, president/CEO of the Recording Academy, said:
“We have consistently collaborated to ensure that a dynamic, fresh and diverse live telecast is presented, and we are proud of the collective growth and results we have achieved,”
Leslie Moonves, president and chief executive officer of CBS Corp. said:
“The long-term structure of this deal will provide even greater continuity with marketing and sales opportunities for both organizations for an event that continues to grow in size and scope – both culturally and commercially.”

Nike Lunarglide+ 3 ‘USA Track & Field’
With the new Nike Lunarglide+ 3 releasing soon, we can already show you a first collaboration on the sneaker. Staying true to the nature of the shoe, Nike worked with USA Track & Field, the governing body of all running sports in the United States.
A men’s and a women’s shoe has been produced, both featuring the US flag colors as accents on the upper, as well as the USATF logo on the tongue and written out on the heel. The limited edition footwear will exclusively release in the USATF online store.
Swims Wing Tip Shoes & Moccasins
Previously known for their rain covers for shoemakers such as John Lobb, Swims continues to present interesting alternatives, made especially for the rainy days out there. Going beyond the cover with their new offering, Swims presents a wing tip shoe and a moccasin for Spring/Summer 2011.
The shoes all feature 3M Scotch Guard high density nylon uppers and a hydro guard lining. The result is unique looking shoes with a very high resistance against water, something unseen before in the market. We love the idea!

Leica M9-P
Leica has announced the M9-P rangefinder camera, an ultra-discreet version of their popular M9. Featuring the same compact size, full-frame, 18 megapixel sensor, sophisticated image processing and robust construction of the Leica M9, the M9-P adds a touch of minimalist styling.
The red dot logo and M9 lettering on the front have been omitted and replaced with the Leica name in classic script form engraved on the top plate. The body is finished with vulcanite leatherette, while the LCD screen includes a scratch-resistant, sapphire crystal covering.
The M9-P is compatible with nearly every Leica M lens produced since the line’s introduction in 1954 and will be available from Leica dealers in two different finishes, black paint or traditional silver chrome, beginning July 2011.
Stussy x JJ Villard T-Shirts
For Summer 2011, Stussy worked on a series of t-shirts with animator JJ Villard.
A graduate of CalArts, JJ has worked on huge Hollywood films such as Shrek the Third, Shrek Forever After and Monsters vs. Aliens before landing his current gig at Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. JJ’s personal work is drastically different from the high profile projects he typically works on. Inspired by 80′s pop culture, horror films and things of a darker nature, JJ used the idea of a sketchbook to inspire his tees.Using pens, pencils and markers, JJ created a series of t-shirts capturing the rawness of a sketchbook. See him speak in the video below.

Romain Jerome Space Invaders Watches
After having signed a licensing agreement with TAITO Corporation on the Space Invaders franchise, Swiss watch maker Romain Jerome presents the first watches, featuring the iconic characters of the video game. The brand presents two limited edition watches, each coming in a series of 78 pieces, paying tribute to the 1978 birth year of the Space Invaders game. One of the watches features a colorful Space Invaders dial, while the other one comes with a more subtle glow-in-the-dark version of the characters.
The two watches are without a doubt our favorite to come from the Swiss brand to date.

Japan’s Gallery 1950 pulls a Peanuts license for a set of tees featuring Charlie Brown and Snoopy acting a bit classier than usual. Charlie rolls on the Eames rocker while Snoopy get his newboy hat on to play tennis, amongst other pursuits.

Aston Martin x colette Cygnet City Car
For the launch of the new Aston Martin Cignet city car, the luxury car maker has gotten together with Parisian concept store colette on a bespoke version. Limited to only 14 cars, the design was commissioned by colette and handcrafted by Aston Martin Works Tailored.
Special features of this version includ engraved door handles, quilted alcantara accents through out the entire interior, special branding on the navigation unit, and a special key ring for the collaboration. Priced at around 49′000 Euros, the car can now be ordered through the store, with delivery scheduled for end of 2011.
