Drakes take care cover and tracklist

We’re exactly a month away from the release of Drake’s sophomore set and the man himself decides to unveil the first of three covers. Take it away Mr. Graham:

Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

See you soon.

Salt and peps thrills @ Halloween bash

Salt-N-Pepa delivered a treat at Malibu Black’s kickoff to Halloween weekend. The hip-hop duo, comprised of Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton, were the surprise performers at the “Skater Zombies and Surfer Chicks” costume party extravaganza held at Good Units at the Hudson Hotel in New York City last night. Guests reveled in the zombies skating half pipes, mad scientists mixing cocktails, and ghouls riding dirt bikes.

DJ Skribble kept partygoers on the dance floor before the trailblazing ladies hit the stage at the stroke of midnight to perform their hits “Let’s Talk about Sex,” “Push It,” and “Shoop.”

Following opening night of the Watch the Throne tour at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Kanye West joined Def Jam VP of A&R Bu Thiam to celebrate his 38th birthday at an after-party at his newest nightclub Reign. Over 1500 guests were in attendance to mark the kickoff to the highly-anticipated tour. Cops were called to nicki minaj house

Cops had to be dispatched to Nicki Minaj’s apartment in Los Angeles on Thursday to mediate a dispute between the YMCMB queen and a maid.

Police officials tells TMZ a couple of weeks ago Nicki’s housekeeper took a photo of the rapper out of the trash and requested her to autograph it, and for reasons unknown Nicki felt her actions were inappropriate and made the decision to fire the woman.

Cops tell us, the maid did come back today, and Nicki became enraged and ordered her to leave. A source privy to the fight tells TMZ, the maid stood her ground, demanding not to be “treated like an animal” — at which point, Nicki allegedly said, “I’ll show you how to treat someone like an animal … get the f**k out of my house!”

Now here’s where the stories are a bit conflicting. One source says — contrary to what the cops say — Nicki actually made a mistake, saw another maid and assumed she was the one Nicki had fired.

We have had multiple people involved in the incident tell us … the maid Nicki confronted was NOT the same maid she fired a few weeks ago. It was a case of mistaken identity.

Either way, Nicki’s boyfriend got in the act and began pushing the maid with his body. The maid’s boss called the cops and filed a battery report.

The cops came and the maid asked to make a citizen’s arrest, but eventually decided against it so no one was taken into custody.
Don’t confuse the above photo op with a toothpaste advertisement from the 60’s. Whitney Houston and Mike Epps flashed their mega-watt pearly whites on the ‘Sparkle’ film set in Detroit earlier this week. According to our homies over at THAT GRAPE JUICE the 48-year-old singer jumped right into singing scenes for her role to rave reviews.

Justin bieber shows off his Cadillac batmobile

Justin Bieber has the coolest set of wheels on the streets. The pop star was stuntin’ in his one-of-a-kind Cadillac Batmobile. The black-on-black Cadillac CTV-S was transformed into something straight out of a Batman movie, complete with suicide doors and HID headlamps that will blind you from a mile away. The young Bruce Wayne even had his initials embossed on each side of the vehicle and the word “Batmobile” spelled out on the back.

According to TMZ, the 17-year-old singer was driving around Los Angeles in the flashy car when he was pulled over by cops after reportedly cutting off a CHP officer. But thanks to his superstatus status and super-fly ride, he was sent on his way with a warning. Swag!

ti signs books in la reaches out to andre 3000 for new album

An exhausted T.I. continued his book tour with a signing at Barnes & Noble at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica on Wednesday (Oct. 26). Despite his grueling promotional schedule, Tip happily greeted fans and autographed copies of his first novel Power & Beauty. He is already working on the sequel and a relationship book with his wife Tiny.

He stopped by 97.1 AMP Radio to chat about his next album. “I got about 40 songs so far,” said Tip, who revealed that he’s recorded with Akon, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, B.o.B, and Cee Lo Green. He is also trying to nab AndrĂ© 3000. “Just sent a record to AndrĂ© 3000 to see how he gon’ feel about getting on it.”

Additionally, the star of Takers is looking to get back into movies and is currently reading over scripts to decide his next role. “I want to do an action comedy,” he shared. “I want to do a Bad Boys or Lethal Weapon.”

pusha-t talks passing on n@&$ in paris beat calls 50 cent his favorite artist

Pusha T is featured in the latest issue of Sneeze magazine where he has revealed some interesting facts. Firstly, Pusha tells how the ‘N***as In Paris’ beat was first handed over to him by Kanye but he ended up not using it. Then, he expresses his liking for 50 calling him his “favorite artist”.

On 50 Cent:

“Raid” the song you have with 50 and Pharrell is crazy. A lot of people feel like 50 is in vintage 50 form on that record…

PUSHA: I called Pharrell and said, “Yo, if you go back in with him and you make about seven more of those type of tracks you’re going to be responsible for something that’s monumental.” People don’t know that 50 Cent is like my favorite. Lyrically he’s not my favorite artist, but as a whole he’s my favorite artist. No one has done what he’s done in such a short time. What I always wanted 50 Cent to do was to get with all top-tier super-producers — Just Blaze, Kanye West, Pharrell, Chad Hugo, put out an album like that.

On ‘N***as In Paris’:

You were around for some of the Watch The Throne sessions, were there any beats on that album that you passed on?

PUSHA: “Niggas in Paris!” [Laughs.] I tell people all the time that I don’t know if I would’ve attacked it that way which means the record might not have been as special once I got on it.

Wow, that’s interesting.

PUSHA: ‘Ye gave me beats and that was in the bunch. “Niggas in Paris” was playful to me and I was in demonic rap mode. I was like, “Yo, I don’t want this right now,” he was like, “Man, this will be a club smash,” and I’m like, “Maybe, but don’t ask me to wrap my brain around that when I’m writing stuff like ‘My God,’ which is another Hit Boy beat.”

Chris brown realeased names of singles off "fortune

Just like the last time around when a mixtape track ‘Deuces’ blew up and was eventually made a single from F.A.M.E, Chris Brown is ready to adopt the same formula with his next alum Fortune. His Boy In Detention mixtape track with Kevin McCall produced by Tha Bizness, ‘Strip‘ has been announced as one of the singles for Furtune, together with another upcoming one ‘Biggest Fan’ with The Runners on the beat. The album is due in stores top of 2012.
