The prototype version of the device comes in 2 parts, one being  a handheld, or pico, projector, an ordinary digital camera, and an infrared camera and  the second part The second contains a laser pointer and the control buttons. Microsoft believes using this type of device will accurately determine a patients injuries instead of using an auto-correction system to map the image  from the patients exterior.  According to Amy Karlson of Microsoft Researchers ”People are notoriously bad at sticking to their physical therapy regimens,” so a device like this can certainly give patients a reason to stick to their physical-therapy routines and seeing the results via the Microsoft device.
