Young Rappers Headline BET's 'Closer to My Dreams Tour'

A group of young rappers will team with BET's popular countdown series 106 & Park to hit the road as part of the “Closer to My Dreams Tour.”

Rappers Diggy Simmons, Tyga, Lil Twist, Jawan, Mindless Behavior and Travante, will hit the road starting tomorrow (July 7th) in Los Angeles, California.

The 18-city-tour is meant to showcase the young rappers, who all signed to a variety of major labels.

"BET has a stellar history of introducing the hottest new talent, and this summer we continue this tradition with the next generation of young superstars," Kelly Griffin, senior director of music programming for BET Networks, told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (July 6).

The first show will take place tomorrow at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, while the tour will wind down on August 6th at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia.
