Even before the announcement was made official, a steady queue of fans started to arrive at the new Beats by Dr. Dre‘s flagship store, The Beats Store NYC, for the invitation-only opening party last night. All the efforts were not for naught as legendary music producer Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre himself walked through the doors. As the festivities get underway, the special occasion saw plenty of VIPs, musical icons, and an assortment of who’s who in the New York party scene. But the highlight of the evening, oddly enough, was a cake in the form of a Beats Headphone. And for you foodies out there, it was delicious… The Beats Store NYC opens daily at 67 Greene Street in SoHo, where you will find the complete range of Beats by Dr. Dre products…minus Dre himself and the cake.
