"We Dedicate Our Life To This & We Make Sacrifices For Success"

Cash Money Records co-founder Baby recently delved into why his label continues to succeed and what the future holds for the Cash Money/Young Money roster. Satisfied with the success of Nicki Minaj and Drake's debut albums last year, Baby said expect more greatness from the CMYMB regime. Cash Money is planning for a busy year, too, which will also include releases by Drake, Minaj, Kevin Rudolf, Lil Twist, Mack Maine, Shanell and Tyga. "It feels like a new excitement around here," Birdman reports. "We had Nicki blast off, Drake blast off, Wayne's back...It just feels like a whole new excitement around here. It's a real family, a team. We look after each other and are there for each other. We dedicate our life to this, and we make sacrifices for success. There's no stopping with us." (Billboard) A leaked listing of Cash Money/Young Money album release dates hit the Internet last month. Get ready to hear a whole lot of Young Money Cash Money Billionaires this summer. YMCMB is readying releases from Wayne, Bow Wow, Lil Twist, G Malone & Brisco, DJ Khaled, Birdman & Jay Sean, and rounding it all out, Drake. Apparently Birdman has officially handed in tentative dates for releases to the CEO of Blu Division Music. Interesting enough the list is titled "YMCMB A Hot Summer." If this holds true this is going to be the hottest summer under the sun! May 24: Lil Wayne. June 7: Bow Wow. June 14: G Malone & Brisco. June 21: Lil Twist. June 28: DJ Khaled. July 5: Birdman & Jay Sean. September 13: Drake. (The Source) Lil Wayne later came forward and officially announced the release date for his next album, Tha Carter IV. "Tha Carter IV is done," Wayne told MTV News. "All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out." Bryant, Weezy's longtime manager, was in attendance and provided the specific release date. "May 16, believe that," Wayne said. "It can come out tomorrow 'cause I'm so finished ... Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. If you're not doing anything, do me," he added. (MTV) In February, Drake revealed his focus on making a follow-up to last year's Thank Me Later. "I am truly enjoying my life right now," Drake wrote Monday (February 7). "Its been so long since I have wrote anything on here because I feel like for a while I was trying to digest it all and save it for the music. But its finally set in that I am living my dreams and doing with all my closest friends from Toronto. I wake up and never know what to expect from any given day but good or bad I always learn something from it. I have decided that I am going to push "It's Never Enough" and focus completely on delivering Take Care to you all. I feel like my mind is truly ready to make this next album NOW and I don't want that feeling to escape me. My mother is doing well for all who have been asking. She went to her first swimming class the other day and won gold...not really but you know what I mean. OVO gang is all smiles and 40 is making some of the best music I have heard in my entire career. I am in the airport right now headed to LA to meet up with Boi 1da tonight. Its all feeling right. Its truly been a pleasure to speak again. Thank you for all your energy. Soon. Guidance."
