Cam'ron & Jim Jones Cover Straight Stuntin Mag (PHOTOS)
Although it may seem like the Diplomats are over, both Cam'ron and Jim Jones are going to be featured on the latest issue of Straight Stuntin Magazine. The drama between the two Dipset members has been going on for some time, and we haven't seen Cam'ron and Jim Jones together since the "We Fly High" video. Hopefully they'll both be able to settle their differences and we'll get a Diplomats album in the future. I got much respect for the U.N. and Byrdgang, as well as Skullgang, but we need a Diplomats album! Check out the covers below!

Video: Lloyd Banks – Big Bully [Directed by 50 Cent]
The official video for the mixtape track Big Bully off of V.5, H.F.M.2 is tentatively set to release this summer.
Sidebar: Am I the only one who thinks these 50 directed music videos are boring, have the same vibe, the same angles, shots, and look low budget? To me, these look like something MC No Name from Podunk Nowhereville has up on YouTube xcept with better quality equipment and someone nice with the final cut pro. Dah Well.

Jay-Z Performs For Stevie Wonder, Other Stars In Atlantic City
Jay-Z doesn't just bring out the stars out onstage — earlier this month at New York's Madison Square Garden, for example, Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James, Diddy, Rick Ross and Gwyneth Paltrow were among the spectators taking in his BP3 show (and while Lil Wayne appeared onstage during Young Jeezy's opening set, he probably caught some of Jigga's show from backstage).
And for Jay's sold-out Saturday night show at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Stevie Wonder, Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, Fantasia, Adrienne Bailon, Robin Thicke and two of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey," Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita, were in the audience.
The show was a tough one for Memphis Bleek, who always performs with Jay. Bleek's friend and artist G Baby died early Saturday morning after reportedly being shot in New York. Bleek tweeted about G Baby over the weekend, saying, "I'm in a mood I can't explain. I lost a real n---a 2day. R.I.P. to my n---a G Baby who was like a bro to me!! G. Baby ..." MTV News will have more on that story shortly.
Memph stayed strong through the show and helped Jay pull off another successful performance, as they brought the crowd to its feet with classics like "Big Pimpin' " and new hits like "Run This Town."
Jay celebrated after the show at the Old Homestead restaurant in the Borgata, where he had a late dinner with Wonder and Thicke, a rep for the venue told MTV News. Jay — being the avid sports fan he is — took in the Manny Pacquiao/ Joshua Clottey boxing match on one of the big screen TVs. Jay references the pugilist from the Philippines on Blueprint 3's "Thank You," saying "On the tube, I'm just watching Pacquio box 'em up."
After the 12-round fight, Thicke went to Borgata's club mur.mur, where Samantha Ronson had spun earlier in the night. Sam's sister Charlotte Ronson, Angela from "Jersey Shore" and Phelps were among the partygoers. Meanwhile, Jay hit the blackjack tables accompanied by Beyoncé, the venue's rep said.

Lil Wayne aka Inmate Carter
As of Monday, rapper Lil Wayne has a new moniker: Inmate Carter.
The platinum-selling artist (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.), who began his yearlong jail sentence for gun possession on Monday, is facing a lot of new circumstances these days.
The rapper is living among the general population of inmates at the Eric. M. Taylor Center (the facility for sentenced males at Riker’s Island), but he is also afforded a low level of protective custody, due to his public profile.
“Inmate Carter is in a category of housing that we call ‘general population/escort,’ ” a New York City Department of Corrections official tells PEOPLE. That means when he leaves the housing area (his cell or the day room), he will have a captain escorting him at all times.
On an hourly basis, Lil Wayne can decide if he wants to be locked in his cell or locked out of it – for security reasons, inmates are not allowed to freely move between their cell and the common areas.
What else can Lil Wayne expect from the year ahead? The official shared the following details:
• The Day Room
In this common area, which he shares with 19 other inmates, Lil Wayne can watch television, play cards, read the paper or just socialize. Since the day room is within the housing area, he does not have an escort here.
• The Meals
Breakfast is served at 4:30 a.m. Since a number of inmates will be going to court on any given day, the morning starts early for Riker’s residents. Lunch is served at 11, dinner at 4:30 p.m.
• The Clothes
Lil Wayne will wear the standard institutional clothing: Green work shirt and pants, slip-on style sneakers.
• The Cell
His six-by-ten space features a steel cot connected to the wall, a mattress, a sheet, a blanket and a pillow. There’s a sink and toilet in the cell as well, plus his personal property which includes the standard cup, razor, toothbrush and soap assigned to each inmate.
• Outside the Housing Area
With his escort, Lil Wayne can leave the housing area for attorney visits, regular visits (he’ll get two per week with up to three visitors), religious services or jail-offered programs such as one that helps inmates transition back into society. While some inmates have work assignments in and around the jail, he will not because, “then you’d have to send somebody off to escort him every day,” says the official.
• Recreation
One hour per day. The rapper’s facility features outdoor basketball courts.
• The Commissary
Weezy can buy snacks and toiletries from his Commissary account, which friends and family can contribute to online. Reports that he’ll have an ipod are untrue, though he can purchase a battery-operated AM/FM radio and earphones to listen to music.
Sounds more like boarding school then it does jail so I’m sure Weezy will be alright.
Eminem & Dr. Dre To Be Featured On Drake’s Debut Album?
In Toronto this afternoon a few of us got an invite from Universal Music to meet Drake and listen to some new tracks from his soon–to–be–released album. It sounds like a monster to me. It was really good stuff. And Drake is a nice kid. Here’s what I can tell you…
1) There’s a song on the disc called “Fireworks” that has the greatest beat ever. Drake has this sidekick producer called 40, and he’s talented. I met him as well this afternoon and he’s also a good kid. He’s about to be very, very busy. “Fireworks” has a hook on it courtesy of Kings of Leon. It’s catchy.
2) There is a Kanye West–produced track on the album that comes with a story. The track was made by Kanye for Beyonce, but Drake really wanted it so he wrote her a handwritten letter asking if he could use it. She read it and thought it was sweet and e–mailed him to give her permission. It’s a great track.
3) There’s a Jay–Z/Drake track that he played for us – minus Jay’s verse. Jay–Z doesn’t let anyone hear his stuff before it comes out. Drake claims it is the greatest verse Jay’s ever done.
4) I think the final track on the album is called “Thank Me Now” or something. He played us a recorded verse then did another one live and it was one of the best. Really cool.
5) He sings on a bunch of tracks on the album.
6) This Saturday Drake will be in L.A. doing a track with Dr. Dre and Eminem.
7) Yes, there is a Timbaland beat on the album.
You might as well give Drake his platinum plaque right now. With Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kanye West & Timbaland already on board, on top of all the hype he’s built up over the last year, I could even see Drizzy going diamond.

Video: Drake Talks ‘Over’ Music Video
“This is my first video,” the Young Money franchise player said, sitting in his trailer. “I’ve shot a lot of videos before, but this is my first attempt to establish myself as Drake the artist. Shooting the other videos I’ve done has been great. I really don’t care what other people think about them, they were great experiences for me. I’ve learned a lot from them. Today, I’m shooting with somebody I really look up to and respect. I’m shooting with Anthony Mandler.”
“We talked colors, we talked epic, emotion-evoking visuals,” the 23-year-old Toronto native said of the collaborative “Over” video. “The story is actually interesting. The song is so aggressive, and it’s sort of a love story in the video. It has a lot to do with the album [Thank Me Later]. The album is about finding love, feeling ‘Have I sold my soul’ as far as ‘Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? Will I ever find that pure love?’ Those elements are in the video. I look strong, I feel great, my knee’s feeling great. I’m jumping around, doing all kinds of stuff.”
The song “Over” touches on Drake reaction to fame and stardom. ” ‘Over’ was definitely a choice of mine,” he said of releasing it as a single. “I’ve got a lot of great songs on the album. A lot of songs that sound familiar but are brand-new. I still got the same emotions of the songs you love, whether it be ‘Say Something’ or ‘Best I Ever Had’ or ‘Bedrock.’ For people who enjoy what I’ve done in the past, I’ve got a lot of songs to cater to them. But ‘Over’ was a song I did for myself.
“We took a trip to Jamaica, where I did a lot of work for my album,” he elaborated. “There was this calm before the storm, and ‘Over’ represented the storm to me. It’s the moment. I wanted to emerge at first from this album and just let people know ‘This is how I’m coming out in the public eye. I’m ready for anything.’ Then when you get the album, it’s like, ‘Oh, he’s still human. He’s still thinking the same way.’ I wanted people to understand I could have lost it. ‘Over’ could have been my entire album. Just ’cause that’s what this industry and game will do to you if you lose yourself.”

Gbaby, Brooklyn Rapper, Shot, Killed at Fabolous Concert at Amazura
New York rapper G Baby (real name: Gregory Brown), 22, was shot and killed in Queens, New York, early Saturday, a representative for the New York Police Department confirmed to MTV News on Monday (March 15). G Baby was signed to longtime Jay-Z associate Memphis Bleek's Get Low Records.
According to people who knew him, Gregory “Gbaby” Brown, an aspiring rapper from Brooklyn, was gunned down this weekend at a Fabolous concert at the Amazura nightclub in Jamaica, Queens.
GlobalGrind.com initally reported that “the victim was Gregory Brown aka GBaby, who is a Brooklyn MC. There are not many details about how it happened or who was the other party involved, but we will be reporting any news that we hear, as soon as we hear it.”
Bleek tweeted about G Baby Saturday, writing, "I'm in a mood I can't explain. I lost a real n---a 2day. R.I.P. to my n---a G Baby who was like a bro to me!! G. Baby ..." Before performing with Jay-Z in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday night, he tweeted again: "2nite goes out for the baby boy G. I got u my n---- see u on the other side! Thx to those who showed me love ... Get Low we to strong to break!!"
Other friends of the rapper's tweeted about his death as well.
"R.I.P G BABY," Lloyd Banks wrote. "My boy*last time I seen u, we were mixing down [Banks' track] 'Beamer Benz or Bentley,' and u know who paid for everyone's food? Neva let me pay for sh--! That's the kind of n---a we lost."
"RIP 2 G Baby," Tony Yayo added.
"A! 1st and foremost RIP to the HOMIE G-BABY," Juelz Santana wrote. "We lost a good one. Everybody in Queens & Bklyn hold ya head. What up BAI!!!!"
"Life is not Promised ... Live Life to the fullest, & like there is no 2moro ... Lost a soldier in the field this morning ... R.I.P. G Baby," Fabolous wrote.
According to detective Marc Nell, a spokesperson for the NYPD, G Baby was shot multiple times in the torso by an unknown assailant at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday on the corner of Archer Avenue and 143rd Street. He had been at Club Amazura, which is located just a couple of blocks away from the scene of the crime. When the authorities arrived, they found G and another black male shot. The other man, whose name is being withheld, was shot in the leg. Nell said it is still unclear whether the man was traveling with G Baby, was an innocent bystander, or was involved in the shooting. Nell said police believe that G Baby's shooting stems from an incident that took place at Amazura earlier in the night; Fabolous headlined a concert there that ended at around the time of the shooting. At press time, Nell said the investigation was ongoing and no suspects had been named.
G Baby's official MySpace page says the rapper was from the Tompkins Houses projects in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
G Baby had been a close confidant of Bleek's. Late in February, while speaking to MTV News, Memphis was very excited about jump-starting the careers of G Baby and other Get Low artists Calico and Proof.
"I been focused on a lot of things before I got focused on [my new] album," Bleek said. "I had to think of the release of when Jay [-Z] left Def Jam, 'What I'mma do with my career? Do I wanna still be under the umbrella or do my own thing?' So of course I came with the terms, I gotta do my own thing.
"I gotta do my own thing because I got a bunch of people behind me that's waiting for their shot," he added. "I got G Baby, my artists Cali, Proof that's been down with me for years. It's time to step out."

Video: Jay-Z & The Nets Break Ground In Brooklyn
“What I stand here and represent is hope for Brooklyn, New York City. I’m a son of Brooklyn, I’m from Marcy projects.” Jay said. “I think about growing up in Brooklyn in the Marcy projects and shooting jump shots, thinking I can make it to the NBA. Now I stand here as an owner of team that’s coming back to Brooklyn. The pride in that, and bringing that dream so much closer for people, brings me so much pride I get a little nervous about it. But I’m very happy, very excited about this day. And we did it again Brooklyn — shout out to [Notorious] B.I.G.”
After the conference, Jay-Z and company officially broke ground, breaking out the hard hats and lightly shoveling dirt. The confetti rained down.
“It was a long process,” Jay said after the ceremony, with his “Empire State of Mind” playing in the background. “It’s a sensitive one. I’m from the people. I’m for the people. I could never be opposed to the side of the people. But this project, when you look at the numbers at the end of the day, was so overwhelmingly in favor of the people: the job creation, the housing that’s being built. It was difficult; you had to tread through that process lightly. But we’re here, it’s a fantastic day and it’s a celebration. It’s a beautiful day in Brooklyn and the hope that’s represented — on a small scale — is the same I felt when I saw Obama run for president: That we can be a part of something so grand.” – MTV

Live From Sing Sing | The Real Story About The 50 Cent Beef Bang 'Em Smurf
The title pretty much says it all, but if you don't know the story of the beef between Bang 'Em Smurf and Domination (aka. The Silverback Guerillaz) and their fellow Southside Queens resident 50 Cent. Although they originally ran in the same circles, Bang 'Em and Domo had a major falling out with the G-Unit leader and their affiliation was severed.
Locked up in Sing Sing on a gun charge, Bang 'Em Smurf is broadcasting live from behind the bars and telling his side of things once and for all. Setting it straight with the help of Domination, this DVD also features from underground NY mixtape majors Grafh, Agallah, St. Laz, Snyp Life, Co-Reed, Watsman and more.

T.I. Trying To Get Andre 3000 On Comeback Album
“Different people have been reaching out to Dre [because] he’s still one of the greatest around,” Toomp told VIBE, adding that T.I. has the advantage of Dre’s being a fan of his. “If they do [the song] I would really love to produce it. Dre is a fan of T.I. and [Young] Jeezy. And [T.I. and Jeezy] be like, ‘Dang, he really dig me like that?!’”
Although Toomp said he rarely spoke to T.I. during his jail stint, he was one of the first people the rapper called after being released to a halfway house in December (his sentence ends officially on March 26). Their first conversation consisted of the two playing music over the phone.
“I got two or three strong ones on [the album] right now,” said Toomp. “Right now he’s just putting a feeler out in the streets, letting people know he’s back.” - DJ Toomp
