Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA) has officially inked a deal with Red Distribution/Sony, which gives the 13-man collective creative control over their destinies.
Odd Future's manager Chris Clancy confirmed the reports that ODD Future inked the deal, although the group's resident singer Frank Ocean, is signed to Def
"We kinda joke that they signed to themselves, but it's actually the truth," Chris Clancy told MTVNews. "The way it's working is Odd Future Records is an entity that will live on RED Distribution, which will be run and operated by Odd Future. That means in regards to releases, art, music, schedule, we're not bound to quarters and that type of stuff."
The new deal allows the group to operate an independent with major label backing, courtesy of Sony.
In May, Odd Future's leader, Tyler the Creator will drop his album Goblin, although that record will be released through XL Recordings under a previous deal.
Odd Future Records is currently mapping out a release schedule for all thirteen artists on the new imprint.
