GPPR Summer 2011 Collection + Lookbook

GPPR Summer 2011 Collection + Lookbook6
GPPR presents its Summer 2011 collection and lookbook, ‘Circle of Dissidents’:
“…when I was younger, no more than fourteen or fifteen, each summer a group of impetuous youths and I would get together and roam the town haphazardly, looking for something to do, something to break. We were unrestrained, raw; nothing to tie us down. The constraints of society did not seem to exist; it was summer, and that seemed to be our ongoing excuse for our actions as we threw television sets off rooftops and smashed windows of vacant homes.
But we could not be delinquents forever; none of us wanted to be forty-five and imprisoned for vandalizing street signs. Eventually we matured, developed careers and became initiated members of a civilized world. But we still hold in our hearts the inclinations of our youth, the antagonistic views we held about society.”
This collection reflects our respect for contention, for the man standing outside looking in with distaste.”

Nike Talaria Boot Fall 2011

Nike Talaria Boot Fall 2011
Taking inspiration from Nike’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) roots with bold color and rugged design philosophy, the Fall 2011 Nike Talaria boot is reborn for 2011. Hints of the Nike Mowabb construction run throughout the boot, while including D-rings for added lace support, a neoprene bootie and a nubuck upper construction. Reflective accents are incorporated for added visibility and the ACG durability comes to life with a rubber toe guard and rugged traction pattern.
Two fantastic color combinations on the Talaria, bringing together a solid grey upper with great color accents.
Designed for the trails and remixed for the street, the Nike Talaria boot is available in July in two colorways, Cannon/Club Purple and Armory Blue/Blue Lacquer, at select retailers across the world.

Introduced in the Nike Sportswear line with the Air Force One High Foamposite, Vac Tech construction features a seamless, unibody upper that mimics a shrink wrap form. The simple aesthetic removes panels and stitching to form a minimalistic upper construction that is comfortable, durable and water resistant.
Releasing July 2011, this white/white colorway of the Nike AF1 Vac Tec could not become any cleaner. We love it!

Raekwon Signs Rapper JD Era To Ice H20; Launches Label Presence In Toronto

Cuban Linx 2: only dope shit.
Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon the shift has expanded the roster of his Ice H20 record label, with the signing of Toronto rapper JD Era.

JD Era, who was featured in AllHipHop.com's Breeding Ground section,
will release his debut mixtape "No Handouts" on Raekwon's Ice H20 imprint.

"I’m excited to be working with Raekwon and the Ice H20 family," JD Era explained told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "We’re looking forward to doing some big things for hip-hop in this country."

The signing of JD Era also marks the launch of Raekwon's label's presence in Toronto, which has produced world-renowned rappers like Kardinall Offishall, Drake, Choclair, Maestro Fresh Wes, K'Naan, Saukrates and others.

"All this talent out here that’s sunken in this situation where they not able to carry it across seas, across the world, across to America, I’m here to give them the opportunity,"  Raekwon told HipHopCanada.com during an interview in April.

"There’s a lot of talent here,” Raekwon said. “It’s been too many years that we’re not able to hear the music like how ya’ll hearing us constantly. I wanna be able to hear ya’ll constantly the same way, and see new artists come and get on.”

JD Era's "No Handouts" mixtape will be available for free download later this month at www.nohandouts.net

Gucci Is Free - Not Boosie!

SORRY, BOOSIE! GUCCI IS FREE!

Man, you know how rumors are. One person hears the mess slightly wrong and by the time it gets over here, its messed up. I do believe it is Gucci Mane that is out now. Not Boosie! Sorry, Boosie! This is why Waka was talking about it in the first place.

LIL BOOSIE GETS OUT OF JAIL?

YOOOOOOOO! This is a crazy! But I am hearing Lil Boosie is out of jail or is about to be out NOW!!!! I have sources screaming at me to put this up, because they are swearing to me this is the most insane thing happening right now. Honestly, I don't know the details, but somehow, some way, Boosie is out of jail. The wild thing is right now or yesterday, he was in the bing for a third-offense marijuana possession charge and first-degree murder charges. Not to mention, he allegedly threatened a DA! How could he get back on the streets? 50 Cent? The ghost of Johnny Cochran? I don't know! Somehow or another Waka Flocka is tied into this whole thinking. Lets see how this pans out.

UPDATE: I heard he gets out at midnight, July 2.
More as I get it.

Accused, Drug Dealing Police Officer Fired For Appearing In Killer Mike Video

A police officer in Savannah, Georgia was fired for appearing in a recent rap video by rapper Killer Mike.

Officer Floyd Sawyer admitted to being featured in the video, in which he dons a ski mask while sitting in his official squad car with the lights flashing.

When Sawyer was questioned by his immediate superiors, he allegedly lied to  investigators and claimed he was not in the video.

Officer Sawyer attempted to appeal the decision, but several other factors resulted in his ultimate dismissal.

According to the Savannah Morning News, Officer Sawyer had previously been suspended without pay for appearing in federal court in uniform, unauthorized, to testify for his  friend in an unrelated case.

Before he became a police officer, Officer Sawyer was arrested for account fraud, contempt of court, carrying a concealed weapon and other charges.

Officer Sawyer now faces federal charges amidst claims that he took money from drug buglers and then sold drugs himself.

Officer Sawyer was arrested earlier this week, after federal authorities claimed he was involved in a drug trafficking/extortion scheme while in uniform.

Sawyer and another associate worked security for a club in Savannah, where they are accused of robbing drug dealers for their drugs and cash and committing other crimes.

Philadelphia rap group State Property will reunite in Atlantic City, New Jersey today (July 2nd) during a highly anticipated performance featuring Rick Ross.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that all the original group members of State Property will reunite on stage tonight during Summerfest 2011, which is being headlined by Rick Ross and Philly rapper Meek Mill.
