Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster Soft Top
There are still several months to go before the world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, but the folks at AMG are nearly finished testing the supercar and are giving up an early look. After the gullwing version, this new open-top variant is the second car to be independently developed by AMG.
In order to accommodate the new roof and door structure, engineers tweaked several elements of the car, improving overall handling dynamics, bodyshell rigidity and reducing NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). The roof can be opened and closed at speeds of up to 51 KM/H. The 571 hp Roadster officially debuts at the International Automobile Show in Frankfurt/Main, September 2011.
